Mom was not Impressed

How many times have you been super excited about something, and you share it with the people you love and they’re like, oh ok. Cool.

From childhood, we’ve experienced this our whole lives. The last time a toddler ran up to you super excited about something random, what was your reaction?

That’s about what I got from my mom when I excitedly told her all about AI image generation and how I’m using it with my healing.

“Look mom! We can make ANYTHING! Just give me an idea!”

She wanted a dog walking a horse. I generated a bunch of different images for her, in different styles and was excited to show them to her.

“Oh, that’s neat. Cool” and she went back to watching TV.

I’ve decided that’s perfectly all right. I am allowed to be excited, even if no one else “gets” it.

I’m not sure if she knows it, but that small interaction actually helped me on my journey.

I don’t need anyone else’s approval to enjoy something. Their lack of joy does not in any way take my joy away. I don’t need the world to like what I like.

So world, here’s my mom’s dog walking a horse.
