I once knew a 4-year-old girl. Every morning if you asked her what she dreamt about she would say something along the lines of “Cupcakes and cotton candy clouds and cookie trees”. Well, most of the time anyway.
The dreams of a child are so simply beautiful. They know what they want and they have no fear of naming it or even asking for it. It’s all for the momentary pleasure and the sweetness that we can find in everyday life.
If you could tap back into that childish mind and find dreams that didn’t involve finding the love of your life, winning the lotto, or other adult things – what would you dream of?
I think I would dream of the pure joy that 4-year-old has when she finally gets her cupcake.
