Yet the Spirit is Strong

I have been to the lowest of lows, with gory details that I won’t inflict on anyone.

And I felt like I was permanently, un-changeably broken forever.

It wasn’t until I stared into the darkness that was growing in me that I saw different.

And I assure you, I wasn’t staring because I was strong, or because I wanted to change, or for anything so inspiring as that. I was staring because I had no other choice in those moments.

I saw the spirit inside me was still strong. Standing there, pure energy, pure light – it was just waiting for me to see it and let it guide me.

The darkness was still there, but I had a light and a focal point. I could face the dark because I knew the light was also in there.

Even in the darkest hours, your spirit is in there, just waiting to be seen.
